Review by hotel critic
The Victorian house exuded charm and elegance, providing us with a cozy and comfortable retreat in the heart of York. the two bedrooms were beautifully furnished, offering a peaceful night's sleep after exploring the city. The fully equipped kitchen was a highlight, allowing us to prepare delicious meals and enjoy leisurely breakfasts before heading out for the day. the thoughtful amenities such as a coffee machine and washing machine made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the city centre and close to fantastic local brunch spots and shops for any supplies we needed. the free parking right outside was a huge bonus, especially in a city where parking can be a challenge. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring that our stay was seamless and stress-free. the Christmas tree added a festive touch to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the house. We also loved the proximity to the racecourse and the charming Knavesmire pub for a delicious breakfast. Overall, our experience at the Kensington was nothing short of exceptional. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can't wait to return on our next visit to York. Thank you for a memorable stay!
